Let’s talk about this a bit further.

A Rent-to-Own deal has two parts. One part is Rental and the other part is Ownership.

Under the Rental part of the deal, the home buyer is renting the house. This gives the person the authority to live in the house. Whereas under the Ownership part of the deal, the Home buyer is paying in installemtns to Own the house.

The combination of these two parts results in a Rent-To-Own deal. Hence, a Rent-To-Own contract combines these two parts into one contract. A Rent-to-own homebuyer will sign a rental agreement and a purchase agreement under one contract.
